About Our Experiments
Most of the experiments are computerized. Some are paper-and-pencil type of tests and some involve filling in questionnaires. Some involve brain imaging. You can choose to participate in some or all of these experiments. For the brain imaging experiment there are additional screening criteria (e.g., if you have metal implants in your body, you will be ineligible for this particular experiment).
We are looking for individuals who have schizophrenia or bipolar disorder or close relatives of people who have schizophrenia or bipolar disorder between the ages of 21-50 to participate in a comprehensive study of memory, attention, perception and social cognition experiments. We are also looking for healthy people between 21-50 who are not taking any medication or drugs and are not diagnosed with psychiatric or neurological disorders
Please contact us if you are interested in participating. We will ask you a few basic questions to see if you meet our recruitment criteria on the phone. If you do, we will make an appointment for you to visit our lab and participate in our study. You will be compensated for your time.
